I don't know why the moneyline is so low
-130, Detroit hasn't lost to Colorado in 5 meetings and the last 4 meetings Colorado has lost by a combined score of 12-4. Detroit also beat Colorado in Denver 4-2. Also this is the 2nd game in 3 nights on the road for Colorado. I don't think that Detroit will blow another 5-2 lead like they had against Nashville. Possibly they were looking ahead at the Colorado game. You would think that the oddsmakers would have at least made it
at least -145. Another thing is Colorado got lucky against Boston and won in OT and Boston isn't playing very good hockey. They also lost to Chicago at home. Detroit in my mind is still the best team in hockey especially at home and at a pick with little juice is a steal. As always good luck.

Thanks Scooby, I thought not much people would notice because there wasn't very many people that viewed my two picks today, so I decided to post my record on the main page. This is a great compliment especially coming from you, the da man in hockey.

Sorry Rens, I don't play with European odds, but if it's 150, I think you had better lay off with Detroit tomorrow. That is too much juice. You should find a place that has -140 and less. I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find it for
-130. I know you are playing with European books, but what I have found out is that the favourites are a little higher and they don't have many proposition bets. The only advantage with those books is that you can sleep well at night. Another bad thing is that if you place the wager you can't cancel it and they won't bend the rules too. If you are serious in betting hockey you should have a few outs that have overnight lines in hockey. The places that I recommend that are solid and have these overnight are Canbet, Olympic and Rio. The only thing with Rio is that they have only the puck line, not moneyline, so it's best to have a few outs to check the lines. Hope this helps you.

Adding Toronto to win, half on moneyline and half on +.5 goal, but no more than -143. Don't know why TB is favoured in this contest. Toronto has owned Tampa Bay, they are 15-2 playing in Tampa and Tampa only has 8 wins in 36 tries. Toronto is surging right now too. Don't know why John Grahame has started the last 3 games for Tampa Bay, maybe Khabibulin is injured and that would be good news because he isn't very good. The only thing that would scare me is that they rest Belfour, but that is unlikely because this is the second game after the allstar break and Belfour is playing really well now. Normally I like to post only one game, but this one looked too good to pass. Hopefully we have another winning day.

I haven't posted in a while...and I will LIMIT my games when I bet - However I really like the Avalanche and the + $ here.

Avs are playing terrific on the road with Tony Granato as their head coach. The Avs were embarrased as they lost 7-0 in the Finals of Game 7 in last years' Conference final. And earlier this season I wagered some money on the Red Wings and they won 4-2 over the Avalanche at the Pepsi Centre.

However, tonight the tide has change. Sure the Red Wings possess a 27-15-9-2 Record and are a very good home team at 15-5-5-1. Interstingly, the Avalanche EXCELL on the road as they are a sparkling 13-5-4-3 away from the Pepsi Centre with an overall record of 21-14-11-5!

Furthermore, the Avs are sizzling HOT as they have won 2 straight on the road and are now 3-0-1 in this long 6 game road trip, in which the Red Wings' game is their 5th. More importantly, the Avs are 4-0-2 in their last 6 and have only suffered 3 losses in their last 10 games. In their amazing 6 game unbeaten streak the Avs have scored 18 goals and have only conceeded 8. All while Patrick Roy posting 2 goose eggs in their 6 game unbeaten streak against the Leafs and Jackets. Comparing the two teams, the Avs are just on a roll right now while the Red Wings are just struggling to win a game or two. For instance, the Red Wings are winless in 4. And have 2 dismal ties with 2 mediocre teams (505 with Nashville, and 2-2 with the Panthers). The Red Wings are 0-2-2 in their last 4 and have only 1 win in thier last 7 games (the only win coming in Vancouver).

Hey Ivan, the thing I don't understand is why don't you take some of your bet on the +.5 goal line with very little juice. There is a greater chance that both teams could tie. The last game for Colorado went into overtime, and they were lucky to win it.

Smokey, the last 20 games between these teams no ties. The last 20 games Colorado at Detroit no ties. Just a guess, but I don*t think there will be a tie this time.

Bobby thanks for the advice, but I took the money line, not the .5 goal. What I heard is that Detroit had a closed meeting after the Nashville game and I think at least they are going to be motivated and pumped tonight. The effort will be there for sure. The thing is how can you take Colorado here when a team has been beaten so bad by Detroit in 5 meetings. I agree that Colorado is on a roll, and I posted them to beat Boston last game and they won. This is one of my biggest plays and I feel this is the right spot for Detroit because when can you get a low number on a team that is going to give everything they have. Also Colorado is on a lengthly road trip and this is their 2 game in 3 nights. They have to be road weary by now. Also I think Sakic is still out. If Detroit loses tonight, then I will lay off of them. In my mind Detroit is the most talented team and it's about time to flex their muscles. If they win tonight, then I'm going to ride them for a long time.

Tuck123, thanks for the advice, but I'm still not going to chance it because anything can happen. For an extra 20 cents, I'm not going to chance it. Look at what happened to Vancouver, people who took it at the .5 goal line were pretty choked. I got really lucky last night because I also layed some on Columbus on the .5 goal line and got the middle at -125 juice.

The Avs are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall.
The under is 4-1-1 in Colorado's last six overall.
COL has scored 1.4 gls/gm in last five overall.
The Red Wings are 7-3 ATS in the past 10 meetings.
The over is 3-1 in the past four meetings in Detroit.

The Avs haven't played in Detroit since the Western Conference finals, when they lost 7-0 for the most lopsided game 7 in Stanley Cup history.

I wonder if they remember that??

Ah Scooby, the revenge trap I fell into last month when they hooked up in COLO.....

Bobby, Cujo is a go and the pressure will be enormous....Wings struggling...he's struggling...

cant beleive they would start joseph in this spot! in his L4H starts hes allowed 4,4,4,5 goals. i guarantee legace starts for detroit once playoffs start. i think they have fallen into the trap where they dont want to admit they made mistake in signing him...

im not going crazy on game - like some other plays much better...

Bobby I can admit when I'm wrong with this play. You and Ivan were all over it. The thing I expected is that Detroit would play their hearts out and at least score some goals, but not even one is pretty pathetic. Bobby, you have to admit that was a lucky goal by Tanguay and Roy played exceptional. But the end result is that I lost. You guys were right that Detroit wasn't that good. At least I won one and lost one today plus juice. For sure I'm going to lay off Detroit for awhile until they start winning.
